To read, to write or to blog – That is the question

Reading…writing…writing…reading…- blogging?
What to do?  In what order?   When?
You need to read in order to write.
You need to write, in order to write.
Can’t do both at the same time.
There isn't enough hours in the day.
There’s the short story, the flash fiction and the novel.
Is there time to blog today?
Exhausted.
Don’t know what to write or which one to write about.
Out of ideas.
Read some more.
Inspiration will come…when?
I don’t know, just read today.
Write tomorrow.
Blog the next day.

  1. If you feel inspired, write. Otherwise, try making a schedule. Read one day, write the next. Even if you're NOT feeling inspired, force yourself. Just blogging about nothing can help with writers block. "I don't have anything to write about today, so here's how my day went" or something. Next day, read. If you feel inspired on a reading day, then write. And vice versa.

  2. Thanks for the advice Melissa! Actually, that is basically what I do. I run into trouble when I get engrossed in a book (love to read about vampires) and then days go by where I don't write at all. Perhaps a schedule is the way to go.
